The frog was a crafty,calculative and manipulative creature who took full advantage of the nightingales innocence.The frog knew that if he wouldn't get rid of her then he would not be able to sing in the bingle bog without competing her. So he prepared a devious plan for getting rid of the nightingale . On the other hand the nightingale was too gullible and naive that she couldnt see the plans of the frog.She lacked confidence and when the frog told her that he was a music critic she believed him.She was flattered by the judgement of the frog made on her song . When the frog offered to teach her then also her innocent and naive nature didnt allow her to see the frogs plans and she met a painful end.

The frog was cunning, greedy, proud and insensitive. This nature is revealed when he sells the nightingale's songs for money and makes her sing in the cold weather. On the other hand the nightingale is a sweet and simple soul who falls in the vicious trap set by the frog. Though in the beginning she was proud of the originality of her song, her self doubt and gullibility leads her to a tragic and untimely death.
