The comparison and contrast between the Chola and the Contemporary Administrative Systems is as following;
(i) The administrative power lied in the hands of the Chola Kingdom while in the Contemporary Administrative Systems the administrative power lies in the hands of the Prime Ministers, Presidents, Parliament etc.
(ii) The village heads were selected in the Chola Kingdom, still the Panchayat System is followed in some regions in the Contemporary Administrative Systems. Both are selected on set criteria.
(iii) In Chola Kingdom, the development programmes are implemented by the king and his statesmen while in the Contemporary Administrative System the developmental programmes are in the hands of the federal governments.
