February Revolution

Causes: It was mainly caused due to the inability of the empire to administer properly. There were failures in terms of commerce, politics, army etc. In short there were shortcomings in every sphere. This created a feeling of unrest amongst the masses.

Effects:: A new republic was formed after the abolishment of the Soviet empire and monarchy. Nicholas II was removed as the monarch.

October Revolution

Causes: Even though a republic was established yet it was weak and was dealing with internal conflicts that gave rise to this revolution.

Effects: The dual power that was established during the February revolution came to an end and civil war started.
