Comparison between Imam Bonjol and Mahdi Sudani

1. Imam Bonjol:-

Imam Bonjol was born in a religious family in 1772. He was a famous leader of the Paderi Movement in central Sumatra and is a national hero of Indonesia. He persuaded the Muslims to stop non-Islamic practices and follow the teachings of Holy Quran. He fought against the Dutch colonial rule and motivated his people to gain Independence from the Dutch. The efforts of Bonjol for the Indonesian Region are still remembered. He died on 6th of November, 1864 at the age of 92 and is buried in Sulawesi.

2. Mahdi Sudani:-

Mahdi Sudani's actual name was Muhammad Ahmad ibn Abdullah. He was born on 12th of August, 1844. He fought against the Ottoman-Egyptian military rule. He, then defeated the British forced and created a Mahdist Islamic state extending from the Red Sea to Central Africa. He also gave the Africans their national identity. He, unexpectedly, died on 22nd of June, 1885 at the age of 40 and is buried in Omduran, Sudan.
