POEM- CHICAGO
- In the sonnet 'Chicago', Carl Sandburg is the writer of that sonnet.
- Carl Sandburg enlisted many of the qualities of the Chicago city. He shows both the industrial as well as the aesthetic side of the city. He called Chicago the city of Stormy, Husky and Brawling. The city is vibrant and alive.
- According to the writer, the city is known to be as big, loud and busy. The city is full of action due to the jobs over there. He also addresses that the people from the city of Chicago are cruel, wicked and brutal. The legal system doesn't work as it should and there are so many cases of murder, prostitution and hunger as well.
POEM- GARDEN CITY
- While, In the poem 'Garden City', Poet is trying to describe the city as high raised buildings where people look on for superior and finer job opportunities.
- He described the city as a city to pursue dreams. People here ate so much busy in their life and work that they have forgotten their peace and harmony. People in the Green City are simply running after success and lost in fast life of the city.
