In the poem, rain on the roof, darkness is making the poet sad and rain looks as if tears are falling down from human eyes.
He remembers his mother, siblings and a dear friend with each raindrop.
In the poem, wind, the poet says that wind is very destructive.
He also says if we are strong nobody can harm us as wind also harms the things which are weak and leave away the strong things.

Answer:here the rain is gentle and evoke memory it seems to comfort poet.whereas in wind the rain has a dominating nature and cause Destruction. Hope it helps!!!
