Himalayan - Himalays are mainly found in cold region of North - East India .

Peninsular Plateau - Peninsular Plateau are found in South - east part of India .In that land land is too fertili , it also called ( western coast ) .

The Himalayan region

1. It consists of the loftiest mountains and deep valleys.

2. It is formed due to the collision of the Indo-Australian and Eurasian plates.

3. In the Himalayan region we find the highest mountains of the world.

4. It is formed at the edge of the Indo-Gangetic plain.

5. There are many well-known hill-stations found in the Himalayan region. Examples are: Shimla, Mussoorie, Darjeeling, etc.

6. The Himalayan region contains only a few minerals.

7. The rivers that originate from the Himalayas are perennial.

Peninsular plateau

1. It consists of broad and shallow valleys and rounded hills.

2. It is formed due to the breaking and drifting of the Gondwana land.     3. We don't find very high peaks in the Peninsular Plateau.

4. It is formed at the edge of the Deccan Plateau.

5. No well-known hill station is found in the Peninsular Plateau.

6. The Peninsular Plateau is the storehouse of the minerals.  

7. The rivers that originate from plateau are seasonal in nature.
