Plants do not have brain and spinal cord.In animals stimulus response is done with the help of electrical impulses generated by the nervous system as well as the hormones secreted by the endocrine glands. In animals stimulus response is controlled by brain and spinal cord.

Generally in plants it is slower while in animals it is faster. In plants responses are due to hormones only whereas in animals it is due to both nervous system and hormonal system
