1) protons are charged particles where as neutrons are neutral

2) In an electric field protons move towards negative pole and neutrons dont move

Difference between electrons, protons and neutrons are :------

✔️✔️Electrons :-------

⏹Electrons are present outside the nucleus of an atom.

⏹Electrons are negatively charged.

⏹The mass of an electron is considered to negligible.

⏹Electrons have a mass of 1/1836  i.e negligible .

✔️✔️protons :-----

⏹Protons are present in the nucleus of an atom.

⏹Protons are positively charged.

⏹The mass of a proton is approximately 2000 times as the mass of an electron.

✔️✔️Neutron :------

⏹Neutrons are present in the nucleus of an atom.

⏹Neutrons are neutral.

⏹The mass of neutron is nearly equal to the mass of a proton.

✔️✔️Is there any relation between these 3?

The answer is yes...

⏹Electrons and neutrons are present in same number in an atom which maintains the stability of the atom.

⏹Neutrons balance mass of the atom. They help in keeping the positively charged protons together in the nucleus.

⏹protons are positively charged species, they would repel each other .

⏹The neutrons do not carry any charge and they bind the protons together in a nucleus by overcoming the repulsive forces between them.
