Answer:
Hi buddy
Explanation:
- Except for the fact that both happened more than half century apart (68yrs)
- While french revolution was against there own ruler (the king) who ruled over them for centuries whereas Revolt of 1857 was against foreign rule (who also had ruled for century till then).
- French revolution was started by civilians ( especially because of a loaf of bread and inflation ) whereas revolt of 1857 was initiated by the soldiers or as they were known Sepoy of british india army.
- And the result too differed where at the end of french revolution the king agreed for the republic and democracy (however twisted or hogwashed it was) whereas in revolt of 1857 the rebellions were brutally crushed and even were fired by tieing up with tank ( तोप in hindi).
- And the middle class (newly educated part of the system) were the supporters of the french revolution in France whereas in British India those middle class intelligentsia weren’t the supporter of the revolt of 1857 as they believed that Govt. could actually help make India industrialised and educated (dreams ofcourse :D) .

The "Indian National Movement" were organized mass movements that concerned with the interests of the Indian people & the push for independence from the British rule
The French Revolution was a period of far-reaching political & social upheaval in France beginning in 1789 & ending in 1799 and denoted the end of the monarchy rule
Explanation:
Aim
- The nationalist movements was a "series of activities" with the "ultimate aim" of ending the British rule in India. The movements were formed as mass demonstrations that emphasized the needs of the Indian people and raised questions. People have been inspired to take part in each of these protests.
- The French Revolution became a major source for modern European history, beginning in 1789 and concluding with the succession of Napoleon Bonaparte in the late 1790s. During that time, French people ratified and reshaped the political environment of their country by uprooting centuries-old traditions like the feudal regime & absolute monarchy. The upheaval had been sparked by general unhappiness regarding the French empire and King Louis XVI 's weak economic policies.
Formation
- The "Indian National Congress" (INC) was formed in 1885 and there were many revolts throughout the country. The INC was regarded as the largest and most influential Indian public body and the core force of the long campaign to gain Indian independence.
- The National Assembly comprising the Third Estate (commoners who started the revolution and who were impacted by the monarchy rule the most) had formed. The draft Constitution was successfully completed in 1791 by the National Assembly. The main purpose was to restrict the monarch's powers. These powers were now segregated and allocated to various institutions-the legislature, the executive and the judiciary-instead of concentrating on one person.
Outcome
- These movements could not win India 's independence due to a number of factors. The lack of these movements impacted several people as they retired from government offices , schools, plants and services. However, the movement promoted the feeling of nationalism amongst the people in the nation. While they managed to gain some concessions, such as those won by the Salt March in 1930, however it did not help India much from the view point of their full independence goal
- The French Revolution resulted in the monarchy 's demise. In 1793 "King Louis XVI" was executed. Though the French Revolution fail to reach all its objectives, degenerating sometimes into a turbulent bloodshed, it played a crucial role in influencing modern countries, demonstrating the world as power, innate in the people's will.
Symbols Used
- The symbols used in Indian National movement were The Vande Mataram Flag (sought to unite people), Azad Hind Flag (played a major role in attaining freedom), Gandhiji's 3 monkeys (ignoring the harsh and oppressive rule of the British), The Charkha (independence), and Salt (against unjust British taxation
- The symbols used in French Revolution were Fasces surmounted by a Phrygian cap (the power of the liberated people), Cockade, Liberty Cap (liberation from all servitude, unification of enemies of despotism), Liberty Tree (everlasting Republic, political revolution & national freedom), Hercules (Festival of Unity, revolutionary ideals of unity, power, & liberty), La Marseillaise (the National Anthem)
