The main objective of business is to earn a profit. The main objective of a profession is to provide service. The main objective of employment is to earn income in the form of salary by satisfying the employer.

Profession is a form of economic activities, wherein special skills, knowledge and expertise is required to be applied by the person, in his occupation.
Profession refers to that work which requires special skill and knowledge so as to do a specialized job while employment refers to working for somebody else which may be sole proprietorship or partnership or company.
