Comparison Deccan plateau with Indo gangetic plain:

Location- Deccan Plateau is in west and south part of India where as Indo genetic Plain is in north and east part of India.

Climate- Deccan Plateau’s climate is mostly wet and dry season. In June it’s very hot with temperature of 40ᵒC where as Indo genetic Plain’s climate is monsoon in eastern part. Temperature is 30ᵒC to 36ᵒCin July and 20ᵒC in January.

Soil- In Deccan Plateau mostly volcanic soils are found and later become a black soil which is rich in iron and magnesium. In Indo Genetic Plains alluvial soils are found and this soil is formed by the deposition of three main river Brahmaputra, Ganga and Indus River.

Crop- Rice is the most found crop in Deccan Plateau where as wheat is the most found crop in indo genetic plain.  

Rivers- Godavari and Indravati are the main river of Deccan Plateau where as Ganga, Brahmaputra and Indus are the main river of Indo genetic plains.
