Broadly, tourism in Karnataka can be divided into four geographical regions: North Karnataka, the Hill Stations, Coastal Karnataka and South Karnataka.

The Karnataka government has recently introduced The Golden Chariot – a train which connects popular tourist destinations in the state and Goa.
