Lok sabha has more power than Rajya sabha.
Rajya sabha cannot deny bills passed by Lok sabha but Rajya sabha can give suggestions.

composition of Rajya Sabha : article 80 of the Constitution Lays down the Maximum strength of Rajya Sabha as 250 out of which 12 members are nominated by the president and 38 are presented to of the states and the two union territories. the present strength of Rajya Sabha is 245 out of which 233 are represented to some states and union territories of Delhi and Puducherry and 12 are nominated by the president. the members nominated by the president of persons having special knowledge for practical experience in respect of such matters has literature science art and social service.

1. article 84 of the constitution Lays down the qualification for membership of parliament . a person to be qualified for membership of Rajya Sabha should possess the following qualifications :
1. he shall be a citizen of India .
2. he should have completed at least 30 years.
3. he shall process such other qualification as prescribed by the parliament.
qualifications to become a member of Lok Sabha:
the qualifications are similar to Rajya Sabha member but the difference is is the age should be a minimum of 25 years.
tenure of Rajya Sabha: Rajya Sabha is a permanent house and is not subject to dissolution one by third members of Rajya Sabha retire every second year. a member who is elected for a full term services for the period 6 years.
tenure of Lok Sabha member: according to article 83 the tenure of Lok Sabha is 5 years.
election of Rajya Sabha:
the representatives of the state and union territories in the Rajya Sabha are elected by the method of indirect. they are elected by the lok Saba.
election of Lok Sabha :
they are elected by the people in general elections.
