Autotroph:
Living organisms that produce their own food. Ex: plants. Plants are producers . They produce their own food. They do this in process called photosynthesis.
Even though , we produce our own food by cooking in the kitchen, we are not producers. Because, we get food from plants and animals.
Heterotrophs:
Living organism who depend on other animals for food. Ex. Animals. Animals depend on plant and other animals. Animals like omnivores and scavengers, eat the dead bodies of other animals. Hence, they are heterotrophs. We too are heterotrophs as we depend on other animals and plants for our food
