Compare plain sedimentation and sedimentation coagulation
Answers
In my understanding,
Coagulation is the terms used when you used coagulants (such as iron and aluminium salts) to coagulate contaminates. Hence, you have a lump of contaminates and coagulant grouped together so they would settle more quickly.
Flocculation is the term used when the contaminants are grouped together and they settle quickly. Which I think, is the same with sedimentation.
Are my understanding correct? Please explain to me these three concepts and how to use them appropriately
Answer:
Explanation:When the particles are separated from the water by gravitational
and natural aggregation of the settling particles, the operation is
called plain sedimentation.
Sedimentation is a treatment process in which the velocity of the
water is lowered below the suspension velocity and the suspended
particles settle out of the water due to gravity.
