ExplanatiAnswer:

SODIUM is a highly reactive element whereas gold is among the least reactive element

when exposed to air or water sodium reacts vigorously and it burns

thus,in order to avoid these reactions sodium is stored in kerosene

gold is commonly known as a noble metal along with platinum

the reason behind why platinum and gold are called as noble metals is because they don't react with water, air or any common acids

gold is least reactive whereas sodium is highly reactive
