Righteousness, according to Christianity, is a state of being. It is the condition (or state) of being acceptable to God according to His standards.

Morality, according to Christianity, is a set of rules for conduct and action that align with the nature and will of God.

According to the teachings of Christianity, if a man could be perfectly moral (never lie, cheat, steal, lust, etc...never do anything contrary to the nature or will of God) he would be considered righteous before God. But as Romans 3:10 tells us, "no one is righteous."  We have all broken the laws of morality (Romans 3:23) and we cannot be with God while in that unrighteous state (Romans 6:23a). We cannot earn righteousness by good deeds (Isaiah 64:6, Galatians 2:21). Our only hope in spending eternity with God is to trust that God will indeed count us as righteous due to our faith in Jesus' death as payment for our unrighteousness, as He has promised us through scripture (Romans 3:21-23).
