Conc. sulphuric acid is a (partially strong) acid whereas bromine water is slightly alkaline (pH = 7.8 to 8.2).
Colour of bromine water is brown whereas that of Conc. H2SO4 is colourless or faint yellow.
When SO2 gas is passed through H2SO4, there is no observation, whereas when it is bubbled through bromine water, the colour of bromine water changes from brown to colourless!!
