Answer:

Suspensions and Colloids are heterogeneous mixtures. A suspension is identifiable because its particles are large and settle out of the dispersing medium due to the effects of gravity. The dispersed particles of a colloid are intermediate in size between those of a solution and a suspension.

Hope this helps you!

Answer:

Suspensions

֎ Suspensions are heterogenous mixtures.

֍ The particle of suspensions can be seen with naked eyes.

֎ The particles of a suspension scatter a beam of light passing through it and makes its path visible.

֎ The solute particles settle down when suspension is kept undistributed. When the particle settle down it does not scatter light any more.

֍ Suspension is unstable. The components can be seperated from the mixtures by the process.

Colloids

֍ Colloids are heterogenous mixtures.

֍ The size of particles of a colloid are too small to be individually seen by naked eyes.

֍ The particles of colloids are big enough to scatter a of light passing through it which makes its path visible.

֍ The particles dont settle down when the colloid left undistributed .i.e.colloid is quite stable.

֍ The components cant be seperated from the mixtures by the process of filtration or decantation .Centrifugation techniques is used in separation.
