phenol is more acidic than ethanol. Answer: Phenols are more acidic than phenols because delocalization of electrons takes place in phenols by resonance . Phenol loses its hydrogen to form the phenoxide ion which resonates and stabalizes itself ,thus this loss of electrons makes phenol more acidic than alcohols.
