Compare the areas of two equilateral triangles which are constructed on side of a square and it’s diagonal

Answer:

Area of the square on its side = A²

                                                   = a²

Diagonal of a square = √2 a

Area of the square on its diagonal =A²

                                                         = (√2 a)²

                                                         = 2 a²

                                                         = 2(area of square constructed on its side)

Area of square on the side/ Area of square on its diagonal = 1/2
