Answer:

Kolkata is the capital city of the West Bengal state of India and Hampi is a small village in Hospete Taluka Or Tehsil of Bellary District in Karnataka the southern state of India.

Explanation:

Kolkata is a Metropolitan city and Hampi is a village.

Kolakata was ruled by the British and it was the centre for the British rule for many years. Hampi was ruled by the Vijayanagar Dynasty for almost three to four decades from 13th to 16th century. The greatest ruler who ruled Hampi was Krishnadevaraya 1509 to 1529. Hampi was very rich state during their rule.

Kolkata has so many beautiful historic monuments built during the British regime whereas Hampi is now called as Halu Hampi in Kannada which means 'the destroyed Hampi". It has so many temples like Narasimha and others. Hampi reminds us of the famous comedian Tenali Rama whose stories are now very famous and students find various books available on his comedies. Kolkata on the other hand given India so many freedom fighters, spiritual personalities and the Nobel laureates. To name a few for example; Swami Vivekanad, Rabindranath Tagore and Dr. Amartya sen.

Coming to the languages spoken now, Kolkata being the Bengal capital speaks Bengali n in Hampi Kannada n telugu languages are spoken.
