Ans=Thermal conductivity of solid is more than liquid and gases. They have different structure at atomic level. Solids molecules are closely packed, thats why they exhibit better heat conduction. This is the reason liquid have less k value.

I hope its helpful to you.

Answer:

Conductivity in solids is greater than liquids and gases due to their atomic structure,in solids atoms are closely pack to each other where as in liquids the molecules are little far from each other than solids,Heat transfer rate is also more in solids compare to liquids and gases.

Thermal conductivity is given by watt / metre - Kelvin

Diamond has more thermal conductivity around 2300 watt / metre - Kelvin.
