Diffusion of solid in liquid is a slow process as compared to liquid in liquid as there is more spaces between particles of liquid as compared to solids and particles of liquids possess more kinetic energy due to which they can move more freely as compared to solids.

E.g of diffusion of solid in liquid :

$potassium \: permanganate \: in \: water$

E.g of diffusion of liquid in liquid :

$ink \: in \: water$
