WEST FLOWING RIVERS...
- THERE ARE ONLY TWO LONG RIVERS FLOW WESTWARDS : NARMADA , TAPI
- THESE RIVER DRAIN IN THE ARABIAN SEA
- THEY CARRY LESSER AMOUNT OF SEDIMENTS DUE TO WHICH THEY FORM ESTUARIES AT THEIR MOUTH

East flowing rivers :-
- east flowing rivers drain in bay of bengal .
- these rivers have a channels.
- at the end they form deltas ( at their mouth ).
- they have mainly larger and developed tributary system .
some examples are Mahanadi, Godavari , Krishna
West flowing rivers:-
- As east flowing rivers these drain in arabian sea
- they flows through narrow and very deep channels.
- they do not form deltas but flow through eastuaries.
- they have small and undeveloped tributary system.
e.g. Narmada, Tapi .
