  1. THE MAJOR RIVER FLOWING EASTWARD : MAHANADI , GODAVIRI, KRISHNAV, KAVERI
  2. THESE RIVER DRAIN IN BAY OF BENGAL
  3. THEY CARRY GREATER AMOUNT OF SEDIMENTS DUE WHICH THEY FORM DELTA AS THEIR MOUTH
  4. THEY HAVE GREATER NUMBER OF TRIBUTARIES

WEST FLOWING RIVERS...

  1. THERE ARE ONLY TWO LONG RIVERS FLOW WESTWARDS : NARMADA , TAPI
  2. THESE RIVER DRAIN IN THE ARABIAN SEA
  3. THEY CARRY LESSER AMOUNT OF SEDIMENTS DUE TO WHICH THEY FORM ESTUARIES AT THEIR MOUTH
  4. THEY HAVE LESSER NUMBER OF TRIBUTARIES...

this is the answer of ur question :-

East flowing rivers :-

- east  flowing rivers drain in bay of bengal .

- these rivers have a channels.

- at the end they form deltas ( at their mouth ).

- they have mainly larger and developed tributary system .

some examples are Mahanadi, Godavari , Krishna

West flowing rivers:-

- As east flowing rivers these drain in arabian sea

-  they flows through narrow and very deep channels.

- they do not form deltas but flow through eastuaries.

- they have small and undeveloped tributary system.

e.g. Narmada, Tapi .
