east flowing rivers
(1)Major rivers flowing eastwards: Mahanadi , Godavari , krishna , kaveri .
(2) these rivers drain in the Bay of bengal.
(3) carry greater amount of sediments , so from deltas at their mouths.
(4)Greater number of tributaries.
(5) These river flow not through very deep canals.
West flowing rivers
(1) only two long rivers flow westwards: Narmada , tapi.
