Compare the east flowing river and the West flowing rivers of the peninsular plateau

East flowing rivers......
* These rivers are much thicker with large river beds.
* These rivers form fertile deltas.
* These rivers flow into the Bay Of Bengal.
* Ex. Ganga, Mahanadi, Kaveri etc.

West flowing rivers........
* These rivers are much thinner.
* These rivers form estuaries.
* These rivers flow into Arabian sea.
* Ex. Tapi , Narmada.......... :)

The Mahanadi, Godavari, Krishna and Kaveri are east flowing rivers.

The rivers flowing westward on the peninsular plateau are generally small but rivers Narmada and Tapi are exceptions to this.

These rivers do not form deltas.

The Narmada and Tapi are west flowing rivers.
