Aim: to compare the electrical conductivity of metals and nonmetals

Materials required:  two led bulb , one copper wire and another plastic wire. Switch and  battery

Procedure: we have to make to circuit in such a way that we use copper wire in one of the circuit connected to the battery and connected to the switch. In the other circuit we have to design in the similar fashion but we have to use plastic wire in place of copper wire. Then we have to switch on both the circuits

Observations: we see that the copper wire circuit conducts electricity and hence the LED bulb glows but in case of the plastic wire the same does not happen.

Conclusion: metals have very high electrical conductivity but non metals have very low value of electrical conductivity.
