Strawberry plants can be propagated asexually by allowing plantlets on the ends of stolons ("runners") to grow in soil. The daughter copies are exact genetic replicas of the mother plant. - by MONICA

Genetic makeup of offspring plants:

Plants are able to reproduce asexually. Plants can reproduce without producing gametes by the vegetative reproduction or it is called apomixis.

Strawberry plants can be reproduced asexually, if we cut a piece of stem at the end of the stolon and place in the other soil then a baby plant can be formed which is genetically same like the parent plant. So the baby plant can be formed without producing gametes or fertilization.
