The Summer season in India lasts from April to June/July. The southern and western regions of India experience maximum heat in April, whereas the hottest month is May, in northern India. The average temperatures during summer range from 32 – 40 degrees centigrade.  

The Winter season is from December to March and they can be very harsh, especially in the North. Snowfall is common in the extreme North of India.

Hot weather

Due to sea breeze the months of May to June is the hottest from southern India.

Northern region of India has a high temperature and falling air pressure.  

Thunderstorms and violent winds, torrential downpours and sometimes hail occurs where dust storms occurs in May.

These kind of storms bring cool breeze and a sigh of relief.

Cold Weather

December and January are the coldest as they have warm days nights are cold.

Weather here is depicted by low temperatures, plain sky,low humidity and variable winds.

Himalayas has snowfall and frost occurs in the northern part with northeast trade winds.
