solution
intermolecular space between solids is too much closer that atoms cannot move from their places, intermolecular space between liquids is somewhat lower than solids but the atoms are free to move in liquids,in gases atoms are too much loosely that they cannot stay at thair fixed position hence they can move throughout the space they have

Explanation:
the inter molucular space in gases are very high that is why tha molecules can move very easily and they can also diffuse very easily eg: perfumes that contain gas
the intermolecular space in liquids is lower than gases that is why the molecules moves slower than the molecules of gases
