Since you haven't mentioned the value of g

I am taking standard value of g =9.8

K.E. of player = 1/2 MV^2

KE= 1/2×40×1

KE= 20

Now , PE= Mgh

PE= 20×9.8×1.2

PE=235.2

Therefore potential energy of spectator is more .
