Kinetic Energy = 1/2mv^2

K.E.1 = 1/2(M)(80) = 40M

K.E.2 = 1/2(2M)(40) = 40M

Thus, both the kinetic energies are equal.

Answer:

THE KINETIC ENERGY OF THE 2 BODIES IS IN THE RATIOS 2:1.

Explanation:

K1=1/2MV^2=  1/2* M(80)^2

K2=1/2MV^2= 1/2* 2M(40)^2

K1:K2

2:1
