(If this is about the poem 'Caged Bird' I got you ^-^)
The bird has been laced in a cage, its wings clipped and his feet tied. It was not able to fly what so ever, yet it still sang the songs of freedom. The free bird lives its life in peace as the caged bird lives in fear. Yet they both sing the same song of freedom. It signifies that the caged bird still has hopes of becoming free and once again flying free like the other bird.
