The map made by Al idrisi was the opposite of the map of India in the present as he was a Arabic geographer he wrote all the names in Arabic language which is written from right to left while in the present map of India the names of the places are noted in English which is written from left to right and the map made by Al idrisi was in opposite direction .The island on on the top was Sri Lanka which in present day is in south. He made this map in 1120s.
