Compare the map of british india with that of independent india and find out the areas that became parts of pakistan. Why were those parts so important to india from the economic point of view?

Explanation:the land which is most fertile and better irrigated which was good for cultivation of Colton and wheat went to Pakistan ..India lost jute production to Bangladesh ...reduction in exports due to cutoff from central and north eastern Asia...India gave it's tourist place(Sikh faith) to Pakistan..

All these leads to loss of revenue to India...

Explanation: As in Pakistan there was most fertile black soil range highly irrigated by rivers like Indus, Jhelum, Ravi, Chenab and Sutlaj makes it perfect for the cultivation of various cash crops such as jute and cotton. before independence these regions were among the largest supplier of high quality cotton and jute for the textile industries. And the Bangladesh which was the west Pakistan at the time independence was also the most fertile soil for sugarcane, rice and wheat production.
