Answer:

First of all, I have a problem with the term, 'Primitive farming', for it is not primitive but the sort of farming by which we are going back to our roots.

Now, we can refer to this sort of farming as 'Permaculture' or 'Zero budget natural farming'. Talking now about the Advantages of such type of farming :-

You will eat healthy food and believe me, you will have a lot of indirect benefits in terms of taste of food, your energy levels, the absence of cancer inducing elements in your food and so on.

Your land will rejuvenate on its own in terms of its fertility levels particularly because you won't be using any chemicals and won't be going for monoculture which erodes the nutrient content of the soil.

The world, today, is witnessing the loss of a number of flora and fauna species and the use of natural farming methods will aid to their survival. Of course, that is essential for the sustenance of food chain as well as for better crop harvests, not in quick fashion, but definitely in some time.

Now, talking about Disadvantages of the type of farming :-

Definitely, your economic output would be in disarray for the initial 2–3 years when you are shifting from conventional farming to natural farming. I believe that is the only significant disadvantage of switching to natural farming.

Another disadvantage is that you would struggle to protect your land from the chemicals which are being used in farming in your adjacent piece of land. Its pretty difficult and almost impossible to quarantine your land and crop in such a scenario.
