In the past, due to technological limitations, natural resources were used minimally.

But with time, man has progressed and cutting- edge technology can be found in all spheres of life these days. The base requirement for operating these technologies are natural resources and at present, mankind continues to tap into the fast dwindling natural resources, without any thought of the future (e.g. water, fuel, minerals and metal).

In the future, most of these natural resources would have reduced drastically or dried up completely. Such a situation would necessitate strict conservation and rationing of these resources, to avoid conflicts.

In the past:

Traditional methods like constructing the dams, canals and other methods are used to preserve the resources for the future.

The population level is always very low at that time, so the use of methods to preserve is not mandatory in the old days.

In the present:

By using the recycling techniques, resources are getting preserved for the future in the present days.

Use of renewable fuels in large quantity brings a great advantage to preserve the resources.
