In the metridium of anemones basically Cnidarians have two body forms out of which one free-swimming which is called as a medusa, and the other is stationary and called as a polyp. Jellyfish has medusoid body form.
Some polyps for as an example hydra while the others like the corals and obelia form colonies around the region they grows. Sea anemones forms solitary polyps which reproduce sexually to form new polyps in its zone.
