the Maximum strength of the Lok Sabha is 550 out of these 530 members are directly elected by the people from different states whereas the remaining 20 are elected from the union territories.Lok Sabha is much more powerful than Rajya Saba in financial power.

the Maximum strength of Rajya Sabha is 250 out of these 12 members are nominated by the president of India and the remaining 238 are elected from the states and union territories by the elected members of Legislative Assemblie. however its powers are as same as Lok Sabha.

lok sabha is much more powerful than rajya sabha on money bills. if a money bill passes in rajya sabha and rajya sabha make any recommendation Lok sabha may or may not accept it. on any other bills both houses enjoys equal powers. lok sabha consists of 550 members in which 530 are elected from states and rest 20 from union territories where as rajya sabha consists of 250 members including 12 members which are elected by president. The tenure of Lok sabha is 5 years where as rajya sabha is called permanent house because 1/3 members are reelected in every 2 years and hence each members completes a term of 6 years
