Belgium adopted a Federal government.
where there was equal representation of French and Dutch speaking people.
the power was divided among the central and state government. state government was not subordinate to central government.
but Sri Lanka adopted a majoritarian government which was ruled by Sinhala speaking people. it did not took care about Tamil speaking people. Tamil speakers suffered a lot. so it lead to a civil war
