the powers of two houses of parliament are different from each other in the following poimts:
1.the members in lok sabha are directly elected by people whereas the members in rajya sabha are not
2.the number of members in lok sabhaare 548 and in rajya sabha are 254.
3.the prime minister and the cabinet are elected from the lok sabha and not rajya sabha
4.the money bill can only be presented in lok sabhaand not rajya sabha.
5.every one-third members of rajya sabha are retired after two years whereas the tenure of members in rajya sabha is 5 years.
6.the lok sabha has more power than rajya sabha because during joint sessions no of member of parliament are more in lok sabha than rajya sabha..

Parliament has two houses namely Rajya sabha and Lok sabha. It is said that Rajya sabha has more power than lok sabha but it is totally wrong.
1.Rajya sabha is also known as upper house of parliament. If Rajya Sabha passes a resolution by a majority them at least 2/3 of the members should vote it.

Lok sabha - It is also known as lower hoise of parliamnet. If any law is to be made then lok sabha has the prominent role.If a bill is to be passed then first it should be signed by lok sabha.
