  • Solids have definite shape and volume. There is no diffusion as there is no space between particles. Can be compressed until some extent.
  • Liquids have no definite shape. They occupy the the total volume of the container. Diffusion occurs (osmosis). Can be compressed.
  • Gases have no definite shape. They occupy all the space or volume available. Diffusion is present. They can be compressed.

Explanation:

a.shape:

In solids: definite shape

In liquid:no definite shape

in gas :no definite shape

b.volume :

in solids: fixed

in liquid:fixed

in gas:not fixed

c. diffusion:

in solid :slowest

in liquid:slower

in gas: fastest

d.compressibility:

in solids : least

in liquid:less

in gas:most

hope it helps you
