(a) Oxides of metal are basic / amphoteric  

(i) Oxide of non-metal are acidic/neutral 

 (ii) Metals are good conductors whereas non-metals are poor conductors. 

(b) Iodine and Mercury.

(a)- metal oxides are basic in nature and non metal oxides are acidic in nature.

(b)- most metals conduct electricity and heat and non metals cannot conduct electricity and heat.

(c)- mostly all metals are lustrous. mostly all metals are lustrous.Mercury is liquid at room temperature.
