The rate of diffusion of liquids is greater than that of Solids because solids have more weight and very strong intermolecular force which doesn't allow the molecules to diffuse easily but when it comes to liquid they have less weight in comparison and there molecules are more free to diffuse at a higher rate.
ITS SAME LIKE A HEAVY PERSON CAN'T RUN AS FAST AS A LIGHT PERSON. IN THE SAME WAY LIQUIDS DIFFUSE FASTER i.e. MIX FASTER THAN SOLIDS.
