5:8=5/8
10:12=10/12=5/6
LCM OF 8 and 6 is 24
so multiply 5/8 with 3 and 5/6 with 4
we get 15/24 and 20/24
therefore 20/24 is larger than 15/24
therefore 10:12>5:8
