The culture of Andhra Pradesh is an integral part of the rich cultural heritage of the country. The art and crafts of the region like Kalamkari, Bidri, the fabulous weaving of Gadwal and Venkatagiri, Pedana, Uppada and Mangalgiri; the exclusive metal ware, brass, stone and wood carving highlight the immense talent of the Andhra craftsmen.Punjab is the land of the five rivers. Indus River, the largest river in this five river system and the five other rivers to the south eventually join Indus or merge into it later in the downstream of the Punjab valley. All the rivers start and flow out of the Himalayas. These other five rivers are Jhelum , Chenab , Ravi and Beas and Sutlej river. Sikh art and Culture is synonymous with that of the Punjab Region. The Punjab itself has been called “India’s Melting Pot” due to the confluence of invading culture.The States of Andhra Pradesh and Punjab share many similarities and both the States learn a lot from each other by mutual interaction centered on knowing about each other’s culture, history and tradition.
