Role of Mahatma Gandhi :
With the help of Congress, Gandhi ji convinced people for starting non-cooperation movement in a peaceful way which is key factor to attain independence. He framed the concept of Swaraj and it became a crucial element in the Indian freedom struggle.
Role of Lala Lajpat Rai :
He founded the Home Rule League of America in 1917 in New York. In the USA, he worked to get moral support for the Indian independence movement from the international community. He was also elected President of the All India Trade Union Congress.
