Basket making is a craft work that involves the use of wild date palm leaves,cane and bamboo which are found in forests.
Ikkat saree weaving involves using of silk and dyes to make sarees.
The similarity is that they both are weaved with hand. The man work is more in these works.

➡The main difference is that the baskets are made from dry stems, leaves, straws, etc. and they are used for rough work
➡While on the other side Ikkat Sarees are made from silk, cotton, etc. as they have to be sold soft.
The main similarity amongst the basket and Ikkat Saree is that they both are hand weaved.
